Big Road

One of the oldest ways of life, pastimes and traditions; the road is always there. Some take it out of choice, some take it out of necessity, some see it as an escape or perhaps a grounding. I have taken it for all these reasons in the chapters of my own life.

The road for me has held many enchantments, mysteries, and obstacles that seem almost impossible to overcome. I have learned some you can help, some you can't. All these in turn yield an unending wonderment for the road, my experiences and the world around me.

Many good times, many bad times, sometimes just precarious paths. Unfavorable weather, favorable weather, wet days and wet nights, sunny avenues and dark corners. Cold mornings and even colder nights. Many acquaintances, some lasting friends, many strangers. many repugnant disgruntle looks, too many goodbyes, nearly not enough smiles, many waves of welcome and unwelcome, waves of grain and corn, many waves of rolling hills and pleasant valleys, winding mountains and roaring rapids, desert wastelands to lush forests etc. etc. etc.

The road can get quite lonely, it is exquisitely nice to share these sights and challenges with someone every once in a while, especially one that can help you keep warm on those seemingly devastating cold nights.
